Attention parents of the class of 2020. Parents and student volunteers are needed at upcoming Prom to Dawn events, including:
Woollybear Festival 2019 will be held on October 6th this year. Prom to Dawn will have one of its largest fundraising opportunities, offering parking at the school district lots. In order for this to be a successful event, quite a few parent helpers will be needed. Prom to Dawn is asking for 2-3 hour shifts and will need people from 9 am to 5 pm. Duties will include collecting money, directing traffic and helping to coordinate a smooth shuttle service. (Lucy Idol Center will again be supplying shuttles and drivers.)
Parade Route Beverage Sales
Prom to Dawn received permission to sell pop and water along the parade route from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. Students will walk the parade route with coolers or wagons and sell pop and water. Prom to Dawn needs a few parents that are willing to sit at various refill stations to help students to refill coolers as needed. Seniors are asked to donate a case of pop or water to sell during the parade, which can be dropped off at the Herchler house, 5539 South Street. (Place donations by the side door.) NOTE: **Students can receive community service hours for volunteering to sell pop and water.**
Home Football Lottery Tree
The Athletic Department has given Prom to Dawn permission to run a lottery raffle at the Friday night home football games. Parents are needed to sell tickets at each of the remaining football games. Parents that volunteer to sell tickets will get free entry into the game. Prom to Dawn will offer 100 raffle tickets for $5.00 each for a chance to win $100 in scratch offs. Prom to Dawn will announce the winning ticket at halftime of each game. The dates of remaining home games are: September 27, October 11, October 18, and October 25.
Sign up to volunteer for any of the above events by emailing email@example.com.
Prom to Dawn is an activity planned by parents to offer a safe and fun party after the Senior Prom. Fundraising is the only source of revenue. Consider volunteering for at least one fundraiser for this worthy cause.
